Back again!!

Wow can't believe it has been over a year since my last post.  Going to be busy blog hopping to get back into things, and will post some cards that I have made in the last year in the next few days.  For now here are some that I have made previously.   Hoping a new venture will be on the cards soon and hoping you guys will stop by.
I have missed blogging but hoping to get  back into it.

I have been busy making a Father's Day card, it is a simple card but I quite like simple cards...not into alot of fuss on cards.   The picture is from a postcard I brought from Ikea and I knew exactly who's card I was going to use it on, yes my Dad's. I did put some glitter on the monkey's lips!!  lol  From the scrap bits left over I made a smaller card, which considering the original card was for a male, I thought looked pretty good for a card for a female.  Let me know what you think.

Card For A Friend.

I have having trouble with my mojo of late, and lost interest in cardmaking for a while....but back now and going to enjoy my week off work crafting.

This card  I made for a friend.  I have done a similar card with the black and white then the bright colours.  The paper I used for the butterflies are from my Hubby, he painted some backgrounds for me to use.   I enjoyed making this card, and hope more are to follow!

Let me know what you think, love to see your comments.  I am going to try and keep up with blog hopping too. See what you  all have been up to!

Fathers Day!

Managed to sit down and make a card today.  It is a card for Fathers day, which is next Sunday here in the UK.
My Dad has always told me he is super human, so I thought it would be fun to have  a Superman on the card.  He also complained last time he had a small card, so I made him a bigger card this time.  I was very tempted to buy the biggest piece of card I could and make one, but I think what I might do is make the cards bigger and bigger over time, see if he notices! lol  Anyway, hope you like!

Card for my Auntie!! - Willow Challenge

I made this card for my Auntie who has had some bad luck recently. I used the Willow Challenge Sketch.  I have used some freebies I got from a magazine a while ago. I tried to use things that were on my desk, odd pits of card etc.  Quite pleased with the outcome.  I really love the sketch and can see me using it again..  I did change it slightly!  Looking forward to seeing what everyone else comes up with.  :0)

Willow Challenge!

How quick did that week go by??  I have had a fab day today, chilling and managed to fit some crafting in too.  It has been a lovely relaxing day.
This card is for the Willow Challenge,  with this sketch I turned it around, just to be different lol.  I also wanted to used some bright colours, so used papers from echo park called summer days.  The foil and embossed stickers I brought from a local craft shop, they have no manufacturers name on it, just says Handmade Sticker.  Buttons are some I got free from a magazine a while ago.  Hope you like!

I am back!! Willow Challenge

Trying to make more time for crafting.  My hours will be changing at work so should get a little more time.  I am entering the Willow Challenge which is back.  I enjoyed making this card, although a little rushed as not had alot of time rectently, but I am fairly pleased with it.  I have left the sentiment off so I can used this card for any occassion that comes along.  Will be trying to catch up with everyones blogs over the next few days.

Feeling Blue!

The blue as in colours to work with!  :0)  I made this card using acetate and embossing onto it.  Idea from a book called Flower Power Papercrafts, by Julie Hickey.  Cutting the acetate was fun, with a bit of experimenting found my X Cut Shape Cutter worked really well.  Really liked the idea of fixing the acetate with ribbons, so no glue to worry about.  Hope you like.

Two Today

I made two cards today.  One for my Sister-in-law's birthday and one for my Brother's Wedding Anniversay.  I am really pleased with how they have both turned out.  I am really fond of the one for the Anniversary.  I decided to put their wedding photo on the card to make it more personal.  Used scraps again today.....how good am I?!  :0)

Scrappy Cards!

These cards I have made out of some of my scraps laying around.  I have rather alot and thought I would work my way through and make some cards using just the scraps.

This card I got inspiration from two places, I was surfing and came across their blogs, well worth a look.  The instructions for the flower came from Laurie.  (tell you a little secret I made a mistake on the flower but still looks okay).
The folded piece is from Valita's blog and I adjusted so it was not the actual card base.  Let me know what you think, and you should definately visit the blogs I have mentioned.
