I have two Daughters, Katherine 21 and Fiona 19, Love making cards, never feels like a chore, and it is something I am good at ( finally found something)!!
Sorry I have not blogged for a few days, seems like ages. I thought I would make some bookmarks, I have made some before. They are a nice change from cards and quick to do. Also a good way of using up scrap pieces of paper or card. My eldest daughter loves reading so I have made her 3 now, and she still wants more! lol
I do have a card I made, but its for my brother so don't want to spoil it for him!

Tried something different yesterday, decided to play around with sponging using the ink pads and also used a new stamp that I brought on Saturday from the craft fair. My favourite is the blue card as I have had this idea for the ribbon for a while and it was fun seeing how I could do it, so I am really pleased with how it came out. I have not seen any other card like it, with the ribbon attached as it is. Hopefully will have time to make some more today as I really enjoyed making these cards.
I have not made a card for a few days now. Brought plenty of things but just not had the time to sit and plan a card out. I still have family Christmas cards to make so should get on with them.
Yesterday myself, my Daughter and her friend went to Brighton. First we stopped off in Rustington to a small craft fair where I met a lady I met on the Trimcraft site. I brought quite a few stamps while I was there and Fliss showed me any easy way to make your own backing papers, which was very kind of her.
We then went on to Brighton, my Daughter wanted to see what it was like as she was thinking of applying to the uni. I must admit she was not very keen and found it too busy for her liking. Still you never know until you try. We had quite a good day, although alot of walking and if it wasn't for my Daughter's friend's GPS we may still be walking around Brighton!! LOL I did like the area around Sydney Street with all the small shops and markets.
I was really tired when I got home and just wanted to go to sleep, driving really takes it out of me now. We did quite well and only took one wrong turning on the way to Rustington. I won't say how many wrong turns we took in Brighton, lets just say we had a small mystery tour!
Will post again when I have made a card, hopefully today although I have to get the shopping out of the way first!
Here is the card I made for the challenge that Sanisi posted. I had to use two ribbons on the card. I decided to make a gatefold card and used some yummy bright papers. I look forward to seeing your card Sanisi.
Starting to get the bug for these ATC's. I am pleased with this one as it came from somewhere from inside my head! Doing the ATC's is fun and I really enjoy making them, but don't want to forget the cards!
I used Sukura pens, glitter ones, and used them with water, you can't really see the glitter on the picture. I was just doodling and came up with the tree design, funny how things pop into your head.
Let me know what you think, constructive criticism welcome.
Today I thought I would try and do a ATC. Never done one before so a little adventure for me. Decided to do one on the theme of christmas since its not that long away! :8) I am sure you want to be reminded now. Hope you like, be kind it is my first. Fairly pleased with it, not sure if it needs something more or not.
Busy day driving my daughter around today. I will be glad when her knee is better as I do hate driving too much. Especially school runs, its always so busy by her school and there is a primary school right next to it which makes things worse.
Everyone where they should be today! Hubby at work, girls are at school, house to myself, its been a long summer! LOL
My daughter is back at school and is managing to hobble round. She has a hospital appointment next Wednesday, so hoping they say she can take the splint off and maybe not use the crutches. Last time it was on for 3 weeks, and her knee was very stiff and physio was very painful for her.
I managed to go to the craft shop over in Broadstairs, not bad, did buy some lovely paper which I made a card from today. Its the red card, decided to put a button on, never used buttons on card before, looks okay, I am pleased with it.
Also made some others the other day thought you might like to see, having a square card phase at the moment, not sure why. Have a couple more 18th birthday cards to do, so off to plan them.
Hi All, Well I say all, but I don't think anyone has checked out this blog!! LOL
I was going to check out a craft shop I have not been to before today, but my daughter has hurt her knee and is suffering so change of plans. My D dislocated her knee on Saturday, she has done this before in Feb of this year. So, she is back in a splint and on crutches, which she hates. She did not get alot of sleep last night, and in pain, so sent her back to bed, and try going back to school tomorrow. It is difficult at school as some of her lessons are up stairs so getting around on crutches can be a pain. I did speak to the school and they are hoping to move some lessons to the ground floor so will see what happens!
I did make a couple of cards yesterday, so will put them up soon.
Thought it would be fun if you set a challenge for making a card. Either what materials to use or theme, or just whether birthday, christmas etc. Just put the challenges in the comments and I will do my best to rise to the challenge!
Just thought to say sensible challenges please! lol
I decided that it was time for me to show my handmade cards and see what people think, so be kind! lol I started making cards about a year ago, but only about 6 months ago did I really get into it. I have brought alot of supplies, and have made quite a few cards. I make mostly for friends and family and I really enjoy doing that. I don't usually plan the cards, just decide colour and design and go for it.
